A short run into Lisbon, and the ZER zones
The drive into Lisbon is about 7 km and usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. The ZER low-emission zones apply between 07:00 and 21:00 on weekdays. Zone 1, covering Av. Liberdade and the Baixa, needs at least Euro 3. Zone 2 reaches further, out to Av. Ceuta and the Eixo Norte-Sul, and needs at least Euro 2.
A group staying on Avenida da Liberdade needs a coach that meets the Zone 1 rule. Ask the operator for the Euro standard when you compare quotes.
From the airport to the port, Sintra or Fátima
Cruise groups have a short hop: the port is about 9 km from the airport, with the main terminals near Alfama and Santa Apolónia. Fairs at FIL in Parque das Nações are close too. Groups heading straight to Sintra, about 30 km from Lisbon, can keep their bags on the coach. Fátima, about 130 km away, can be a first-day stop for pilgrimage groups.
