Zurich Airport gives permitted coaches and limousines their own kerbside lane, with a coach stand and waiting areas nearby. Know which one your vehicle uses and the pickup is quick.
The inner kerbside lane at Arrival 1 and 2
At Arrival 1 and Arrival 2, the inner kerbside lane is reserved for permitted coaches and limousines. The permit applies to buses, to any vehicle over 2 m, and to minibuses that have more than nine seats. A vehicle making an occasional single trip can buy a ticket at the gate and skip the permit. Ask the operator which route the vehicle will take: permit or single-trip ticket.

Stand R and the waiting areas
Coaches load at Bus Station Stand R. The waiting areas are P12-300 and RFS. The driver waits there while your group is inside, then brings the coach forward. Agree in advance whether you board at Stand R or at the kerbside lane, and tell passengers which. If the flight runs late, the coach stays in the waiting area rather than holding a stand.
Arrival 1, Arrival 2 and the docks
Flights use Docks A, B and E, and passengers come out at Arrival 1 or Arrival 2. Check the arrival hall for each flight. A group split across both halls should gather in one before heading for the coach, so the driver makes one stop.
Into Zurich and the Sihlquai bus station
The drive into Zurich is about 10 km and takes 20 to 35 minutes. In the city, coaches and long-distance buses use Zürich Bus Station at Sihlquai. It reopened in October 2024 after renovation and has 28 stands. Its neighbours are the main station and the Swiss National Museum, which makes it a practical place to meet or leave a group in the centre.
For a conference at The Circle, at the airport itself, the transfer is a short hop. For Lucerne, about 50 km from Zurich, a coach can go straight from the airport with bags aboard.

Yes. Lucerne is about 50 km from Zurich, 45 to 60 minutes by road, and a coach can take the group there directly with luggage on board.
