Nice gives coaches plenty of places to stop, but only for 30 minutes, and parking has to be booked. The ZFE also decides which coaches can work the seafront.

Crit'Air and the Nice ZFE

Nice's low emission zone, the ZFE, shuts out any bus or coach with a Crit'Air rating of 4 or 5. The hypercentre and the Promenade des Anglais are both inside it, and that is where most visits start. 64 set-down points and a 30-minute clock

Coaches can set down and collect at 64 authorised points around the city. Each allows 30 minutes at most. After that the coach has to leave for a dedicated parking site.

In practice, pick the point nearest your first stop, whether that is Place Masséna, Vieux-Nice or the Cours Saleya market. Agree the collection point and time before everyone walks off. The operator knows the points.

Booking coach parking through Nice Bus Park

Coach parking is at MIN long-stay, XV° Corps or Parc Phoenix. MIN, with 67 bays, needs booking 48 hours ahead. Reservations go through Nice Bus Park, and the coach must show the booking on its windscreen.

So the coach day is planned in advance, not improvised. Give the operator your full timetable at booking so they can reserve the parking. Parc Phoenix, near the airport, has its own coach parking and suits an arrival day.

Côte d'Azur airport and the coast road

The centre is about 7 km, or 15-30 minutes, from Nice Côte d'Azur airport. A coach with 10 or more seats sets down and picks up at the T1 or T2 bus station, for up to 1 hour. For access control, its plate and seat count have to be registered. Chauffeur cars collect passengers from the professional parking at T1, or at T2 from bus station entrances A3/A4.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Monaco and Èze all lie within about 20 km. Cannes and Grasse are a little further. A coach with driver can link several in one day.
