Coach transfers at Madrid-Barajas (MAD)
Barajas has five terminal buildings, from T1 to T4S. Only one has a published meeting point, so a group pickup here takes some planning. The city's environmental labels matter as much as the terminal.
The published meeting point is at T1
Aena lists a meeting point at T1, on Floor 0 in the arrivals hall. If your group lands at T1, use it. It is a fixed, known place, and the driver knows where to look.
For flights into T2, T3, T4 or T4S there is no published equivalent. Agree the meeting place with the operator before departure, with the terminal and floor, and send it to every passenger. Do not expect the group to find its way to T1.

T4 has a bus station of 30 docks, which scheduled coaches share with private ones. At T1 there is a bus parking area. Which one your coach uses depends on the terminal. Ask the operator for the dock or bay. Scheduled buses share T4, and Line 203, the Airport Express to Atocha, calls at T1, T2 and T4. It is not your coach, so tell passengers to wait for the driver.
Environmental labels and the Distrito Centro
The drive into Madrid is about 15 km and takes 20 to 45 minutes. Madrid's ZBE applies citywide: a vehicle lacking a DGT environmental label may not drive anywhere in it. In Distrito Centro, the ZBEDEP admits coaches that carry a CERO, ECO or C label. Labelled tourist coaches gained entry to Distrito Centro through Ordinance 2/2026, which appeared in the BOCM on 6 April 2026.
Ask the operator to confirm the coach's label before you plan drops near Sol or Gran Vía.
Municipal coach spaces, IFEMA and day trips
SEA Madrid manages 272 municipal spaces for coaches, of four types: long-stay, 2-hour, 15-minute and 5-minute. A hotel drop fits a 5- or 15-minute space. A museum visit on the Paseo del Prado may need a 2-hour one. For fairs at IFEMA Madrid, near Barajas, the transfer is short. Groups heading to Toledo, about 75 km from Madrid, can go direct from the airport with luggage aboard.
