Lisbon's main cruise terminals sit right by the old town. Transfers are short, but the city's emission zone decides which coach can work the centre on weekdays.

Three cruise terminals on the river

Three terminals handle cruise ships here: the Santa Apolónia Cruise Terminal, Jardim do Tabaco's Lisbon Cruise Terminal, and Gare Marítima da Rocha Conde de Óbidos. Alfama and Santa Apolónia are where the main ones sit, near the old town.

Confirm the terminal on your cruise documents and pass it to the operator. Two ships in port on the same day can mean two different quays. Copy the terminal name exactly as it appears in Portuguese; the operator will match it.

Airport transfers without a published meeting point

Lisbon airport is a drive of about 9 km, or 15-30 minutes, from the port. The airport's operator does not publish an official spot where coaches or chauffeurs meet passengers. That means you and the operator must agree an exact spot in advance, and every passenger needs to know it before they land.

Send the operator the flight details and a contact number for the group leader. Name one meeting place and stick to it.

Touring Lisbon inside the ZER

The Lisbon ZER is in force from 07:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday. Around the Baixa and Avenida da Liberdade, in Zone 1, the minimum is Euro 3. Zone 2 is wider, with Av. Ceuta and the Eixo Norte-Sul as its edges, and Euro 2 or newer is enough there. Only a coach that meets the standard for your zone can work the tour. Ask for the vehicle's Euro class to be stated on the quote.

Pre-cruise hotels on Avenida da Liberdade or in the Baixa sit inside Zone 1. Belém and Parque das Nações are other common bases for a night before sailing.
