Anchorage days
If your ship anchors offshore rather than berthing, the port authority brings passengers from the anchorage to the terminal without charge. That transfer takes time and comes in waves. Set the coach pick-up for when the last of your group should be ashore, not the first.
Keep one person on the quay with a phone and a passenger list. The driver will wait in the coach parking until called forward.
Piraeus to the airport or the Acropolis
Athens International Airport is about 45-50 km from the port, 45-60 minutes. At the airport end, pre-booked vehicles collect from beside Short Term 1 parking or from the Arrivals-level pick-up zone, and hold in a designated Retail Park area until then, because the kerb zones allow only 10 free minutes. For a group flying in to join a ship, the coach pulls forward once everyone is through.
For a shore day, the Acropolis runs on timed-entry tickets. Book the slot, then plan the coach around it, with the Acropolis Museum below the south slope as a natural second stop. Delphi is 2.5 to 3 hours each way from Athens, which rarely fits a port call. Cape Sounion, about 70 km from Athens, is a better half day.
